Now it is time to write your own new cinquain here! Your cinquain can be about a person, a place, a time, or a thing!

Reply to the forum and write your cinquain there.

Look at this example:

You can use these parts of speech to help you:

1 noun - Pizza.

2 adjectives - Red yellow.

3 gerunds - Eating, licking, finishing.

2 verbs - I want to eat

1 noun or adjective or adverb - more!

ADVANCED

Remember to full stops at the end of the lines! However, the fourth line runs into the fifth, so doesn't need a full stop!

Marks

Your teacher will give you marks like this.

10 - a perfect cinquain, 1,2,3,4,1 no mistakes

8-9 - a couple of mistakes, or not 1,2,3,4,1

7 - a good cinquain, but more grammar mistakes

5-6 - cinquain is too short

1-4 - cinquain is not finished

TIP - a good way to get higher marks is to ask your teacher to help check your work!
