Run your own restaurants in English and learn new business skills! Will you get rich or lose it all?
- In this course you will create a concept for a new restaurant - you will design the logo, the name, the restaurant floor, how it looks outside, and, most importantly, the food on the menu! You will decide how much to charge the customers, and hire managers, chefs and waiters!
- You will run advertising campaigns to bring more customers to your restaurants! And when everything is ready, you will roll dice to play and see how many customers will come - and how much they like your restaurant!
- But beware! Losing money is only one difficulty! Every turn you will have new problems to face that will test your ability as a restaurant owner to the limit!
- This course is designed to introduce students to business English, but also develops their speaking and listening, and presentation skills. Creativity and problem-solving are also key elements to running a restaurant successfully.
- A large dose of cross-curricular maths is built in to this ingenious and highly realistic spreadsheet game.
- This is the first game in the Oxford Master Business Game Series and is followed by the Game of Business and Game of Investment.
